This Historical Indianapolis Style Shoot is Full of Lush European Romance

Modern glam meets European chic in this elegant Indianapolis style shoot! Heather of Heather Sherrill Photography got inspired when she first stepped into this venue. “I had photographed a wedding at this location and kept walking around the mansion envisioning a luxurious, romantic and timeless shoot where we could take our time and really show off some of the original details of this historic mansion,” she explains. We love the attention to detail this team put into the shoot, and we know you will too!

 

The model’s dress was the perfect continuation of this shoot’s timeless and delicate feel. “We went with a lace and tulle gown that seemed to float when she walked and twirled,” Heather notes. The team wanted this graceful style to be reflected in the model’s makeup, going for a neutral matte look.

 

The venue’s timeless and luxurious look was an immediate draw to Heather. The light and ethereal color palette the team used was based on a historic European style. The cascading, blushing florals give off swoon-worthy vibes of delicate romance!

 

The team utilized rentals, such as velvet linens, golden flatware and plates, vintage candle holders and unique chairs, to tie the tablescape more deeply into the theme. Heather notes, “Our florist created a bouquet with a gradient color scheme that is a hot trend I know is taking off! The six foot fireplace greenery with pops of color, the velvet luxurious linens, the custom cookies and a smaller cake, and of course signature drinks are all hot trends we loved!”

 

These yummy desserts make for the perfect sweet treat to curb your appetite! Both the custom cookies and the cake were made gluten-free, showcasing that even anti-allergenic desserts can be just as delicious.  The elegant trail of florals down the cake makes this lush confection ready to eat!
