During the peak of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, love was blooming for Carleigh and Mason. The pair met on a dating app and grew their relationship by dedicating lots of quality time together after the whole world shut down! Knowing that Carleigh didn't want a public engagement, Mason proposed at their home in front of their Christmas tree. "It was perfect!" Carleigh raves.

Going into dress shopping, Carleigh knew exactly what she wanted. In fact, she was so certain, she only went to one bridal shop! Despite her certainty, she did try on other styles just to assure her that there wasn't anything she was missing. "I ended up getting exactly what I pictured!" Carleigh admits. "I couldn’t imagine a different dress for my wedding day!" And we couldn't agree more! The simple satin gown is the perfect elegant yet timeless look while the silhouette of the gown is a little more modern. It fits beautifully with their wedding theme while looking absolutely stunning on Carleigh!

Unlike some brides, Carleigh didn't have many ideas for her wedding day prior to getting engaged, so they went into planning without much of a guide. "We only chose vendors that really impressed us and décor that was simple and beautiful. I got some inspiration from Pinterest, but mostly just ourselves. Everything we chose was with intention!" Carleigh explains. Most of their vendors either came from social media portfolios, personal experience or recommendations from friends and family. We think they assembled the perfect team to pull of their beautiful wedding day!

All that Mason and Carleigh knew before they started ironing out details was a vague theme and the color scheme. Carleigh gushes, "We wanted timeless, modern and industrial; a theme that could stand the test of time. We knew from the get-go that we wanted black, white and touches of gold. We wanted to be able to look back and have zero regrets on the colors/décor we chose." We think they balanced the industrial and modern side with the elegant and timeless side masterfully! We love that they decided to incorporate black into so much of their reception décor. The whole space feels elevated with the touches of gold yet grounded and even a bit edgy with all the unique textures and dark elements!

What We Love
Instead of a traditional guestbook, Carleigh and Mason wanted something a little more hands-on. "We wanted something we could display in our home after the fact! We decided to use some of our favorite records that fit the black and white theme, of course," Carleigh shares. Their guests signed the vinyls in gold, silver and bronze permanent marker. The vinyls turned out beautiful and it was such a unique way to incorporate more of their personality into the day!

Advice from the couple
Carleigh and Mason advise, "Never compare your wedding to anyone else’s. Your wedding is beautiful no matter what! At the end
of the day, it’s about you and your partner choosing each other to spend your lives with!"
