During their first week of college, Tyler and Jack met at a party and instantly clicked! They started dating shortly after meeting. Swept up by the magical emotion of the season, Jack proposed around Christmas. He took Tyler to a private garden at Cantigny Park and dropped to one knee surrounded by Christmas lights!

While scrolling through Pinterest, Tyler saw a dress that she knew she needed to at least try on. However, finding a bridal shop that carried the dress seemed to be more challenging that expected. There was only one bridal boutique nearby that had this dress. So, Tyler scheduled an appointment. "After trying on ten dresses, I was ready to try on the one I fell in love with from Pinterest which was a Made with Love dress called 'The Jack'. The Jack was exactly what I was looking for but something was missing. And that was a little bling," Tyler raves. With an alteration to add the pearl and rhinestone belt, this dress was everything that Tyler dreamed, and it ironically shared a name with her husband-to-be!

For planning, Tyler and Jack utilized everything at their disposal. They consulted social media, wedding magazines and bridal expos to pull their ideas together for the wedding of their dreams! Wanting to have a classic and elegant yet simple wedding, Tyler and Jack settled on a black and white color scheme for their big day. They didn't require their guests to dress in black tie attire, but the air of opulence was still there. We love the script writing on their table numbers, the soft lighting and drapery on the ceiling and how these elements help bring just a little more elegance to their reception space!

Their vendors came through recommendations and strong reviews. One of these highly recommended vendors was Danielle Schury Photography, who captured all of the beautiful details of their day. We love how her editing style is light and yet editorial to keep their elegant and classic day alive forever. One of the reasons they chose their venue was because of all the photo opportunities it had on its property. Danielle happily took them around the space to capture all the beautiful spaces while highlight the happy couple!

What We Love

Acting as lead planner for her wedding day, Tyler D.I.Y.'d several items for their day. Putting her heart and soul into all the details was a labor of love that made the day that much more special. Their guests really loved the tambourines and T-shirts with their wedding logo! Tyler shares, "The tambourines were given on the dance floor and the t-shirts were used for the bridal party entrance as a t-shirt toss to our guests." Both were fun additions to an exciting night!

Advice from the Couple

Tyler and Jack advise, "Get stuff done and stay organized early in the wedding process so you can enjoy being engaged. The month before the wedding, we couldn't believe how little we had to do because everything was practically done. This made the week of the wedding a breeze, and we were able to focus on the little things and fully be in the moment to be excited!"
