Some love stories begin with chance encounters—but Chad and Elise have someone special to thank for bringing them together. “My best friend!” Elise shares. “She is married to my fiancé’s brother, and she set us up! So now my bestie and I will be sisters-in-law.” What started as a thoughtful setup quickly turned into something lasting, blending love, friendship and family into one beautiful story.

When it came time to propose, Chad chose a moment that was both meaningful and unforgettable. He popped the question in front of their new home that they had just closed on. Elise shares, “It was a complete surprise!” The setting couldn’t have been more perfect—a place symbolizing not just a new chapter, but a life they would build together.

Elise knew exactly what she wanted when it came to her ring—and she wasn’t afraid to say so. “I picked it out! I’m super picky,” she laughs. “I love the gold and the halos.” The result is a ring that reflects her personal style: timeless and elegant!

Finding the right photographer was an easy decision for Elise, thanks to a trusted recommendation. “Abby was the photographer for one of my best friend’s weddings,” she explains. “She did such an amazing job and my friend couldn’t recommend her enough!” With that kind of endorsement, Elise knew her engagement session would be in good hands!

For their engagement session, Elise had a clear vision from the start. “I wanted indoors, and I love historical vintage,” she shares. That vision came to life beautifully at the iconic Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne—the same venue where the couple will celebrate their wedding reception. With its grand architecture and timeless charm, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for their photos!

Elise’s style choices for the session perfectly complemented the setting. “I wanted something classy and white to match the elegance of the Embassy,” she explains. The result was a clean, sophisticated look that felt both romantic and refined!

While some couples take time to figure out their wedding plans, Elise knew exactly what she wanted from the beginning. “I definitely knew!” she says. “I am such a planner, and I had a good vision of what I wanted from the start.” That clarity has made the planning process not only smooth, but genuinely enjoyable. “I love organizing and planning so it has been so much fun!” Elise gushes.
