WeddingDay's 2026 Style Shoot Design Contest

Calling all planners, event designers, photographers, rental companies and wedding connoisseurs alike! WeddingDay is launching our eighth annual Style Shoot Design Contest, sponsored by AAYS Event Rentals! This contest is all about pushing the boundaries of wedding design while celebrating the talent within our community. We invite you to create fresh, new style shoots (with some guidelines!) that will go beyond anything we’ve seen before. Of course, there is some major incentive for you! The winning style shoot (as voted on by the WeddingDay staff) will be published in all 6 of our 2026 fall/winter digital magazines, with a full page print feature appearing in our 2027 annual Look Book. Bonus: All style shoots submitted will be guaranteed a feature on our website!

THE GUIDELINES

• Your style shoot must use the 2026 Pantone Color of the Year: Cloud Dancer. This does not have to be the focal point of your shoot—but it should be incorporated somewhere! 
• Your style shoot must be based on one of the themes listed below. Use total creative range and freedom beyond those details!

1. Fashion Forward - Architectural fashion, possibly including runway aisles for the ceremony , cinematic, candid or photography with movement
2. Ethereal Entanglement - Whimsical or romantic details, possibly inspired by a storybook or including climbing florals, drapery or movement
3. Under the Sea - Take inspiration from any kind of aquatic plant or animal life, or envision what an actual underwater wedding might look like

• The majority of the style shoot team should be Midwest wedding vendors (the location of the style shoot can be anywhere!).
• You must upload a questionnaire and vendor form with your submission
• The completed style shoot must be submitted via the form below by 11:59 p.m. on October 1, 2026
• The winning shoot will be revealed in our 2026 fall/winter digital issues and shared in the 2027 print Look Book!
