Despite crossing paths when they were children, Natalie and John didn't know each other very well. Their friend groups changed in high school and college, so they drifted even further apart. When Natalie moved back to her hometown after college, she and John reconnected and they've been together ever since! When it came time to propose, John popped the question on a trip to Italy. "He proposed in Venice, on a beautiful secluded bridge," Natalie recalls. "I was in shock that he decided to do it on this trip, but also that he carried an engagement ring all the way to Europe."

Though she thought she knew what she wanted in a dress, Natalie ended up changing her vision a little. Natalie shares, "I knew I wanted a spaghetti strap dress because that neckline is usually flattering on me. I knew I was looking for a dress that was whimsical and dreamy. I initially wanted something with a lot of design and 3D flowers. I did find something that was very similar to my dream Pinterest dress, but it didn’t feel like the one." Natalie actually tried on her dress at two different stores and loved it both times. That's how she knew it was the perfect fit. And we couldn't agree more! Her dress is absolutely stunning, and we love the intricate details on the bodice.

Since September was her favorite month, Natalie and John settled on then for their wedding date. Natalie envisioned a soft and dreamy wedding with a hint of romantic opulence. They combined summer and fall colors to match the changing of seasons that comes at the end of September. She utilized blush and terracotta for a sunset-inspired palette that suits the season and theme of their wedding. Natalie and John gravitated toward plenty of greenery and natural embellishments in their big day. One thing that Natalie fell in love with in particular was hanging greenery, which adorned their reception space beautifully!

What We Love
Like many couples, Natalie and John went to social media to find their vendors. They ended up choosing Danielle Schury Photography, who captured all the delicate details of their day flawlessly! We love the light and airy feel of Danielle's photos and every element of the day is perfectly encapsulated. From the shine of the glassware and the gilded glow of the golden touches to the softness of the florals and linens, it feels like we're right there at Natalie and John's beautiful day!

Advice from the couple
Natalie and John advise, "We would say to make sure to stick to their wishes and hopes for the wedding. It can be hard to listen to friends and family members opinions on how your wedding should be, but at the end of the day it’s your own. We made sure we chose what was important to us, and it ended up perfectly. We both had so much fun on our wedding day and we would do it all over again. The stress and money is absolutely worth it. Enjoy the planning process even though it can be extremely overwhelming. We would definitely make sure to hire a day-of coordinator as that person is in charge of all the details of the day. You want to make sure you aren’t still planning and coordinating on your big day, so make someone else do the hard job. Your job on your wedding day is to have fun with your partner and make the best of it."
