Though Lauren imagined a sophisticated black-tie wedding with gold accents, Brandon, an Indiana University grad, vetoed the “Purdue colors.” So, they decided on black-tie elegance with mixed metals instead. Since they were ringing in the New Year on their big day, they added plenty of sparkle to their opulent occasion, leaning into moody and romantic vibes for the décor. Because of their chosen date, they opted for a non-traditional timeline. The ceremony began at 7:30 and the celebration lasted until one in the morning, so they could ring in the New Year with all their friends and family! For a fun beginning to the year, Brandon and Lauren also sent their guests home with scratch-off lottery tickets instead of more traditional wedding favors.

What We Love
Flora and Flame brought Lauren and Brandon's entire vision to life! While Lauren initially inquired with them regarding their phone booth rental, they ended up providing florals, candles, stationery, signage, custom-built pieces and more. “Flora and Flame Design was one of those meant-to-be moments. While scrolling through New Year’s Eve wedding ideas, I came across a beautiful wedding at Ritz Charles from the year before,” Lauren shares. “After probably hours of Instagram sleuthing, I found Beth and reached out to rent the booth. After just one video chat, I knew she got me. She understood my vision immediately, and her energy was everything we were looking for.”
